ZAY is a family-run brand rooted in the ancient olive orchards of Zgharta, Lebanon – where olive oil is not simply an ingredient, but part of our identity, our meals, and our memories. For generations, olive oil has shaped how we cook, how we gather, and how we connect to the land. ZAY exists to honor that relationship – and to protect it.

OUR STORY

Elevating Tradition

ZAY began with a longing – a search for the olive oil I grew up with in Zgharta.

The kind our grandparents made with patience, respect, and a deep understanding of the land.

Years later, during a trip to Greece, I tasted an olive oil that instantly brought those memories back. It made me realize how rare it had become to find truly authentic, well-crafted extra virgin olive oil where I lived – oil that carries heritage, not just flavor.

That moment became a turning point.

In 2022, I began producing ZAY, returning to the traditional practices I knew: early harvesting, hand-picking, and honoring the Souri olive variety from our family orchards.

But tradition alone was not enough. I wanted to elevate the craft. In 2024, I pursued an Olive Oil Sommelier certification in Tuscany, ensuring that every bottle of ZAY not only respects our heritage but also meets the highest standards of quality, purity, and sensory excellence. Today, ZAY is my way of preserving what our region taught us – honesty, simplicity, and a deep connection to the land.

Every bottle is a continuation of that story.
